The Maryland Rural Health Association (MRHA) has spent the last decade focused on our three foundational pillars: education, advocacy, and technical assistance. We've developed a strategic plan, launched new trainings, increased our presence at both the state and federal levels, started a podcast, hosted regional trainings and webinars, and worked hard to raise the voices of rural Marylanders—including providers, organizations, and patients.

Now, as we move into FY 2026, the Team wants to hear directly from you—whether you're a healthcare consumer, an MRHA member, or a supporter of rural health.

This short 5-minute survey is extremely important to shaping our future direction. We’re using your feedback to develop a simplified strategic vision document: a “here’s who we are, what we’ve done, and where we’re going” roadmap to guide our work in the years ahead.

We know rural health needs are broad—and sometimes it can feel like we’re pulled in every direction. This is our opportunity to refocus our priorities, ensure we’re doing the work that matters most, and stay accountable to you—our membership and community.

This is a pivotal moment at the local, state, and national levels. With your input, we’ll continue to push for policy change, speak up for rural patients, and work toward what really matters: healthier rural communities where people live longer, healthier lives.
