Join a Committee & Get Involved!

We invite our members to join and participate in any of the following MRHA Committees. Time commitment varies from committee to committee. Membership is required to participate as a committee volunteer. Thank you for considering to be a volunteer leader!

• Conference Committee - Annual Conference chairperson conducts a monthly meeting from April to October. The committee members discuss and determine the annual conference theme, tracks, Keynote speakers, review and score abstracts for the breakout speakers, and other Conference details.
  
  
• Legislative Committee - The Legislative chairperson conducts a meeting bimonthly from January through April during the Legislative Session.  The Maryland Rural Health Assocation (MRHA) educates and advocates for the optimal health and wellness of rural Marylanders at the federal, state, and local levels. The committee functions in support of the Association and the Advocacy Priorities. The Legislative Committee supports the legislation each year addressing rural health interests through monitoring legislative proposals, providing education on legislative issues, and supporting the legislative interests of the Association to advance rural health care.
