Please join the Maryland State Office of Rural Health in recognizing National Rural Health Day next Thursday, November 16, 2023!  This nationally-recognized event celebrates the "Power of Rural" across the country.  Here in Maryland, 18 of our 24 jurisdictions are state-designated as "rural" and NRHD is a great opportunity to show off the resiliency and strength of Maryland's rural communities.   

You can help celebrate the "Power of Rural" by implementing NRHD activities that fit your organization's mission - Go simple and add the 2023 NRHD logo and link to your webpage OR dig in deep to design a brand new activity to show off the Power of Rural in your region! See the NRHD Promotional Toolkit for many planning ideas. 

Also, check the Maryland State Office of Rural Health NRHD page frequently as the page content transforms over the course of the next week, including some great not-to-miss events.  We will look forward to sharing email messaging leading up to the big day, including an announcement of this year's Maryland Community Star!
